The rock band Blondie has announced dates to embark on a tour in February 2009. The group intends to visit Richmond on the 20th of February, followed by shows in Airway Heights, Portland, Primm, San Francisco and Oroville. The tour draws to a close within a week on the 27th of February.
Blondie was formed in 1976 and has been a pioneer in the American new wave and punk rock genres. The group disbanded in 1982, but then got back together in 1997. The band has been inducted into the 'Rock and Roll Hall of Fame' as well as the 'RockWalk of Fame'. In June, the group announced that they will come out soon with a new album.
