Fleet Foxes have announced their plans to summer 2009 tour. The tour kicks off at George (WA) on May 25, and visits 10 cities in the US and Canada including Philadelphia (PA), Montreal (Quebec), Toronto (Ontario) and Chicago (IL) before culminating in Minneapolis (MN) on August 9. The band performs at a number of festivals including Sasquatch! Festival, All Points West Festival and Newport Folk Festival. The band released its debut album, self-titled, in 2008. The album made it to No. 36 on The Billboard 200 chart. The album features "Sun Giant" EP, which was released in April last year. This offering includes additional songs by the band, that were recorded after their first album was released. The indie-folk band features indie legend Phil Ek of The Shins and Built to Spill fame on both the album and EP.
