Celtic Folk Punk outfit The Pogues travel to the US in March 2009 to host a few shows in New York, Washington, Boston and Atlanta. The tour will reach completion in a grand finale in Boston, MA on the 21st of March. The Irish and English current band members are Shane MacGowan, James Fearnley, Spider Stacy, Jeremy 'Jem' Finer, Andrew Ranken, Phil Chevron, Terry Woods, and Darryl Hunt. The group had disbanded in 1996, but reconciled in 2001. In the interim period, three of the long-term members had started their own band, 'The Wisemen'. In 2008 The Pogues released 5-disk set of rare and unreleased tracks "Just Look Them Straight In The Eye and Say....POGUE MAHONE!!"
