VH1 Divas Return in September 2009

Music show VH1 Divas returns in fall 2009 after five-year hiatus. It will feature Miley Cyrus, Adele, Kelly Clarkson and Leona Lewis. The concert will be aired live on VH1 on September 17 at 9 pm. The performance will take place in New York’s Brooklyn Academy of Music Howard Gilman Opera House. Apart from the pop stars, the show will include special guests, presenters and other performances. The details will be announced in a few weeks. Started in 1998, ‘VH1 Divas’ has featured many singers including Diana Ross, Tina Turner, Beyonce, Celine Dion and Whitney Houston. The proceeds are set to go to a non-profit organization called ‘Save the Music’, through which music education will be funded in public schools throughout the US. The youngest of the four performers, Cyrus, is 16. She is preparing for a world tour supporting ‘Breakout’, her latest album.
