The Wallflowers are gearing up for a summer tour in 2009. The hectic tour starts out at Anaheim (CA) on June 16 and visits 25 cities on a hectic schedule, ending on July 25 in Stillwater (MN). The cities on the itinerary include Grand Rapids (MI), New York (NY), Virginia Beach (VA), Fort Collins (CO) and Salt Lake City (UT). The band has no new material to present since 2005 when they released their most recent studio release, "Rebel, Sweetheart." The album made it to the Top 40 on The Billboard 200 chart. Although known for taking long stretches of time between their albums, the band is not forthcoming on any information regarding their forthcoming material. Apart from leading the band, Jakob Dylan released his debut solo album, "Seeing Things," last summer.
