Pearl Jam has had a long and interesting history. They burst onto the music scene in Seattle in 1991, when there was a lot of experimental music being created. They almost got categorized as a ‘grunge’ band, but they avoided the clich? to become one of the country’s most innovative and creative rock band.
Touring Band 2000 was filmed during the band’s binaural tour across North America. There are a lot of interesting things to look forward to in the album, including a number of bonus features. There is a montage of the band's European tour, set to the song ‘Yellow Ledbetter,’ as well as a montage of outtakes of the band set to the tune ‘Smile.’
The DVD also features a Matt Cam which allows the viewer to focus on the drummer Matt Cameron for select songs. It also features previously unreleased instrumental tracks "Thunderclap", "Foldback", and "Harmony." It also contains videos for "Oceans", which had never been released in the U.S and "Do the Evolution." Considered "one of the first truly essential music DVDs", this DVD is an absolute must have for not just fans of Pearl Jam, but music lovers across the board.
